I was tasked with designing a new logo animation based on NYU brand mark. I began by researching motion identities, with special attention to professional sports teams and athletic programs. After establishing a looping format between 3–7 seconds, I explored different ways the crest could be constructed, deconstructed, and brought to life through storyboarding.
The final animation is dynamic and energetic, highlighting the bold geometry of the NYU crest. The project concluded with adapting the animation across multiple colorways and formats, including full-length loops and versions that finish on a held still of the crest.
